Wiedenbach-Brown Storage Rack Case Study
(Storage System Design)
Mr. Jim Sharkey of the Wiedenbach-Brown Co., Inc. originally contacted Grace Material Handling regarding the purchase of a mezzanine for a facility they were looking to lease in northern New Jersey.
However, after further evaluation, Wiedenbach-Brown decided instead to relocate to Philadelphia, PA with a sister company, Fox Electric. This new location was not conducive to a mezzanine system, due to its height restrictions.
Wiedenbach-Brown instead decided to purchase and install a warehouse system, consisting of steel shelving, bulk rack, and pallet rack to maximize their storage capacity. Mr. Sharkey chose Grace Material Handling Company over a local distributor who was located in Philadelphia, PA.
Grace Material Handling was able to provide used storage components for the project, which were in excellent shape. Since Grace Material Handling had acquired the material at a competitive price, it afforded the client a savings of over 30% on the project cost.
Wiedenbach-Brown requested a turnkey system, including CAD drawings, project management, installation, and delivery to Philadelphia, PA. After several trips to Philadelphia to verify all of the dimensions, the installation was soon scheduled in a timely manner. Mr. Sharkey was able to relocate his operations on schedule, approximately three weeks from his acceptance of our proposal.
