Excel Fitness Mezzanine Case Study

Excel Fitness, located in the Bronx, New York was planning to add an additional 1,100 square feet of floor space to accommodate additional cardio equipment. After exploring two options, renting space in an adjacent building or adding a mezzanine level to their existing space, the owner chose the more cost effective mezzanine.
Grace Material Handling (GMH) was contacted to put forward a proposal for providing and installing a custom mezzanine to maximize use of the existing space. GMH specialists collaborated with the factory engineering staff to design a mezzanine that would meet with the owner’s approval and requirements.
Considering Excel is a very busy club, it was imperative that this work be completed with minimal impact on business. GMH made special arrangements with a transportation company to deliver the required material to the site early on a Friday morning thus allowing the installation crew to complete the entire project over a single weekend.
